Shrimp Toast
No pu-pu platter is complete without them! Mouthwatering shrimp toast with the peppery citrus notes of Distilled Limoncello Pepper.
INGREDIENTS
4 slices white bread, crusts removed and cut diagonally in half
4 ounces raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons green onions, minced
1 tablespoon cilantro, minced
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon Distilled Limoncello Pepper
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
INSTRUCTIONS
In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until it is finely minced.
Combine cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and whisk until combined.
Transfer the minced shrimp to a mixing bowl and add the cornstarch mixture, garlic, green onions, cilantro, egg and Distilled Limoncello Pepper. Mix well.
Spread the mixture evenly on each slice of bread (8, total).
Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the shrimp toast and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove from heat and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
