Chai Butter Biscuits

Is it even possible to go wrong with a biscuit recipe that doesn't involve cutting!? We thought so!

INGREDIENTS

3 cups (375 grams) all-purpose flour

6 teaspoons (24 grams) baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

2 1/2 cups buttermilk

2 sticks salted butter, melted

2 tablespoons Distilled Chai

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 450F.

  2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Slowly add the buttermilk and mix until a thick batter forms.

  3. Add the melted butter and Distilled Chai to a 10-inch cast iron skillet; stir to combine.

  4. Pour the batter over the spiced butter and spread the batter in an even layer.

  5. Bake 27-30 minutes, until golden and cooked through.

  6. When fully baked, transfer skillet to a cooling rack and allow the biscuits to rest, undisturbed, for 10 minutes before serving.
